All of the concrete, copper and dry rot mess is all taken care of now, the work is signed off by the city inspector and we are finally moving with the actual roofing.....almost. The original roof drains will not work with the new 80 mil. PVC

people know, roofing is not the easiest work, and when working on the roof the
last thing you need is failing or inadequate tools. Like a utility knife that
has dull or broken blades or just does not function correctly.
We use all different types of knives in roofing, and when a
"straight blade" type knife is needed the Stanley 199 is hard to
beat. It is sturdy, rugged, has a textured surface and tapered body for better
grip and no moving parts to get clogged with roofing material.
Year after year this knife has out performed all others in the
standard straight blade category. When used in conjunction with Stanley heavy
duty knife blades it always delivers top performance. For trimming Built Up
roofing edges or roof drains along with many other uses this knife remains our
top choice in straight blade utility knives.
As a 40 year roofer and 25 year roofing contractor, knowing what tools to have my people use provides better quality to
my customers as well as saving me money long term. I started with this knife
over 40 years ago and have tried many others as well, but in all that time
nothing compares to the Stanley Classic 199. It always has been and will continue to be our top choice.
